Thirty kilometers after Bursa, we enter the charming and peaceful village of Gölyazi on Lake Ulubat by night. After turning a little to find a parking lot, a resident takes us on an unobstructed platform high up, with a beautiful view of the village and the lake. We spend the night with the wind bursting outside, but Arty is all good!

Nice panorama on the next day, despite the low clouds and the light mix of rain/snow falling. The place seems to be an ancient amphitheater, and must be quite busy during the high season, but right now, not a cat (actually the opposite, and a lot of dogs more or less stray too). A small visit of the village center with its many boats and fishermen, its entrance occupied by a huge centenary tree, followed by a boat trip on the lake for the boys (still no catch for now). The afternoon is well advanced, we therefore decide to stay one more night.

Departure in the middle of the day the following day driving on a pretty road lined with olive trees, after having received the unexpected visit of our guide on the day before, who came to say goodbye and give us a jar of local olives. Fantastic!
Ready for a big afternoon of driving, heading south-west and Izmir.
